When our body has the opportunity to gently settle into itself, expansively and just as it is-- no matter in the grip of heartache or in the caress of contentment-- it offers wisdom. Sometimes, we need an attentive companion to support our process. I would be honored to accompany you along your journey.
"People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it." (Eugene Gendlin, Focusing, 1982)

In May 2025, I became Professor Emerita at Cuesta College, California, after a 29 year faculty tenure within the Addiction Studies, Social Work & Human Services Department. In 2017, I began studying a somatic-based healing practice, becoming a certified Focusing Guide in 2023. My area of support concentrates in Heartache & Bereavement, Regret & Resilience, Identity Loss & Reclamation, and Deepening the Capacity to Thrive. Additionally, my work extends into facilitating White Embodied Antiracism Practice ("WEAPing"). Both areas are rooted in humanistic-existentialist lineages and draw from a holistic/somatic process. As such, compassionate inner inquiry and paying close attention to what emerges within the body-mind experience are at the heart of my practice. I uphold the radical belief that wellness and aliveness live within the very fabric of being alive, and that accessing our unique wellspring sometimes needs a supportive and collaborative space to unfold. Integral to my work is accountability, the mutual exchange of feedback, and adherence to professional standards.
With Gratitude & Homage to my Teachers . . .
